The pupil’s Provisional Driving Licence must be produced prior to the 1st lesson and when requested by the Instructor.
An eyesight test will be conducted prior to first lesson. Anyone who wears glasses or contact lenses must wear them for each lesson.
The Instructor must be notified prior to any lessons of any special needs/requirements the pupil may have, in order that any necessary provision can be made in advance.
All lessons must be paid for in advance by cash or cheque. (Payable to Gunner Pass).
Gunner Pass reserves the right not to proceed with any lesson if it is suspected that the pupil is not in a fit state to drive, through alcohol or drugs (prescribed or otherwise). The lesson fee must still be paid.
Gunner Pass cannot be held responsible for cancellation of any test if the Examiner finds defective bulbs on the ShowMe/Tell Me part of the test and refuses to allow the test to continue. Every effort will be made to ensure all lights work on test days, but it must be stressed that a bulb can ‘blow’ at any time.
Punctuality is important, if the pupil is late for a lesson the lesson is deemed to have started at the agreed time and will still end at the originally agreed time.
It is important that appropriate footwear is worn for driving, if being collected from work or college, please ensure that you have suitable footwear available for the lesson.
Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle at any time.
Mobile phones must be switched off during lessons.
At least 48 hours notice must be given for cancellation of a lesson, any notice less than this will incur a cancellation fee, usually the cost of a lesson(s), except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Instructor.
Gunner Pass reserves the right to withdraw its car for tests without notice should the pupil prove not to be up to test standard.
Gunner Pass cannot be held responsible for postponements of lessons due to illness or mechanical breakdown, nor for driving tests postponed by the Driving Standards Agency. However, if for any reason the Instructor is late, or has to cancel a lesson(s), the pupil will either be reimbursed or the time allocated to another lesson
